Diplomat, producer, writer. In 1992, he began public service as president of the Polish Information Agency Interpress. He also served as a cultural consul at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles. Founder and first director of the Polish Cultural Institute in New York. In 2005, he took the position of director of the Polish Cultural Institute in London. From 2008 to 2016, he was the director of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, and from 2016 to 2018, he served as Director General of SWPS University. He was nominated for the NIKE Literary Award for his novel A Human Thing. He publishes, among others, in “Tygodnik Powszechny,” “Rzeczpospolita,” “Forbes,” and “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.” Member of the Programme Council of OEES.
